Backdrops in the Boot, founded in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, is a female‑owned company created by owner Ellen Reed and inspired by the arrival of her “boot baby,” Emery—the namesake behind the popular Emery floral wall rental.
With a background in legal marketing and events, Reed launched the company during her pregnancy while also working a full‑time 9‑to‑5 job. She built Backdrops in the Boot with clients at the center, blending creativity, professionalism, and a personal touch to deliver high‑quality backdrops for events of every size.
The company’s mission is simple: help clients create unforgettable moments with décor designed to make any celebration stand out.
And as Reed likes to say, “Ain’t no party like a party in the Boot.” For anyone outside Louisiana, “the Boot” is a nickname for the state because its shape resembles a boot on the U.S. map.
